Location and scale
Small, on purpose
The camp sits beside the Erg Chebbi dunes near Merzouga, in the south-east of Morocco. Erg Chebbi is the large sand sea that rises abruptly out of flat, stony desert — the classic Saharan landscape most people picture when they imagine Morocco, and the reason travellers make the long drive south.
There are ten tents. That number matters more than it sounds. At ten, dinner is a handful of tables rather than a canteen, the team can remember who is vegetarian and who is celebrating something, and the dunes behind camp stay quiet.
Every tent faces the desert. Each has a large glazed window on the dune side, so the view is there when you wake rather than something you have to walk to.
Family luxury tents
Four family tents, sleeping up to six
Four of the ten tents are Family Luxury Tents, laid out with several proper beds and sleeping up to six people. They suit families travelling together, groups of friends, or two couples who would rather share a large space than split across tents.
Like every tent at camp, they have a private ensuite bathroom with a hot shower and flush toilet, a dune-facing glazed window, a winter gas heater and extra blankets. Rugs, wooden furniture and warm lighting make them feel like a room rather than a shelter.
Deluxe tents
Deluxe tents, same standard, smaller scale
The remaining tents are Deluxe Tents. They are built to the same specification — private ensuite bathroom with hot shower and flush toilet, proper bed, dune-facing glazed window, gas heater in winter and extra blankets — at a more intimate scale.

The table
Eating well, a long way from anywhere
Dinner is Moroccan and served in the dining tent: soup, salads, a main dish and fruit, brought to the table rather than queued for. Breakfast the next morning is laid out by the windows — bread, pancakes, preserves, coffee and juice.
If you have dietary requirements, tell us when you enquire. We will do what we reasonably can with what is available out here, and we would rather be honest in advance than improvise on the night.

What is included
Only what we can actually promise. Anything not listed here should be confirmed with us directly rather than assumed.
