Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

We begin with an early morning pickup from your riad or hotel in Fes and drive through the stunning Middle Atlas Mountains.

Our first stop is Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland,” where you can enjoy a coffee break and snap a photo with the stone lion statue. We then visit the Cedar Forest of Ifrane National Park, where you can feed the Barbary macaque monkeys and enjoy the fresh mountain air.

Continue south past Midelt, where we stop for lunch. As we descend toward the desert, the scenery shifts dramatically—welcome to the Ziz Valley, where thousands of date palms stretch for miles.

In the late afternoon, we reach Erfoud, and from there, a 4x4 will take you across the dunes to your luxury desert camp in Merzouga. Relax in your en-suite tent, enjoy dinner under the stars, followed by drumming and a campfire experience.

Overnight: Luxury desert camp in Erg Chebbi
Driving time: Approx. 7 hours (including scenic stops)

Day 2: Merzouga Desert Excursion – Nomads – Fossils – Rissani – Camel Ride & Sunset

Today is all about desert discovery. After breakfast, we set off on a 4x4 tour around the dunes of Erg Chebbi:
•    Hunt for fossils in the desert plains
•    Visit nomadic families and share tea in their traditional tents
•    Enjoy a live show of Gnawa music in Khamliya village
•    Explore the authentic market of Rissani

For lunch, we visit a local Berber family, where you’ll:
•    Learn to bake traditional bread in a clay oven
•    Try on traditional Saharan clothing
•    Help prepare and share a local dish known as madfouna (Berber pizza)

In the late afternoon, return to the edge of the dunes, mount your camel for a sunset ride, and climb a dune to watch the golden light sweep across the Sahara. Then return to your camp for another peaceful night under the stars.

Overnight: Luxury desert camp in Erg Chebbi
Driving time: Approx. 2–3 hours (local exploration)

Day 3: Merzouga – Erfoud – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Skoura

After breakfast, say goodbye to the dunes and head west toward the Todra Gorge, where you’ll take a scenic walk through its narrow canyon, surrounded by towering cliffs and palm groves.

From Todra, continue through the beautiful Dades Valley and Roses Valley, famous for their blooming rose fields and artisanal distilleries. Along the way, enjoy photo stops and short walks.

By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at the Skoura Oasis, one of Morocco’s most beautiful palm groves, dotted with kasbahs and gardens. Settle into a peaceful guesthouse and enjoy dinner surrounded by nature.

Overnight: Guesthouse or kasbah in Skoura
Driving time: Approx. 4 hours

Day 4: Skoura – Kasbah Amridil – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Telouet – Marrakech

After breakfast, explore the Kasbah Amridil, a stunning, well-preserved fortress nestled in the palm groves of Skoura. Then we head toward Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Africa,” and continue to the world-famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

From here, we take the scenic Ounila Valley, a beautiful off-the-beaten-path route through red-rock villages and ancient kasbahs. We stop to explore the Kasbah of Telouet, the former seat of the powerful Pasha El Glaoui, filled with intricate zellij and carvings.

Finally, we cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass and descend into Marrakech, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening.
